Pretty Pink Posh: Merry Christmas

Hello there! Today, I'm stopping by to share a Christmas card using wonderful Pretty Pink Posh stamps, dies, and sequins.

Pretty Pink Posh products:
Winter Woodland stamp set and coordinating dies- for the birds and the branch
Scallop Circle Frame- for the shaker frame
Merry Christmas Script Dies- for the sentiment
Limited Edition Holiday Snowflake Mix- shaker element
Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix-shaker element

I colored the images with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies. On the front panel, I applied clear embossing paste mixed with glitter using a snow falling stencil. For the shaker component, I adhered trimmed circle acetate to the scallop window frame and added two layers of mounting tape around the frame. After placing the shaker elements I adhered the prepared frame to the front panel as shown. To add more interest, I glued on some snowflakes on top and adhered the die-cut red "Merry Christmas" sentiment. To finish, I added a little red bow and adhered the front panel to a top folding card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I wish you a wonderful holiday weekend!

Hugs, Amy

MFT Furever Friends Card Kit Release Day

Hello everyone! The day you've been waiting for is finally here! You can now purchase the adorable Furever Friends Card Kit at the MFT Store. Today, I'm sharing a friendship card that I made using the new kit and the Pet Perches Die-namics that's free with a $60 purchase.

***Links to the products I used are at the bottom of this post.***

To begin, I stamped and colored the images from Furever Friends stamp set with Copic markers. I cut them out with the coordinating dies. I also stamped and colored a mouse from BB I Knead you stamp set to add to the perch as a toy for the cat. :)

I die-cut watercolor cardstock with Pet Perches -Dienamics and added Gumdrop and Chocolate Brown Dye Inks with a blending tool. I wrapped twine around the cat's perch to mimic a scratching post. I stamped the larger paw print on the dog's bed with Chocolate Brown dye ink.

For my front panel, I tried to create a patterned wall and wood floor. I stamped A2 sized white cardstock panel with BG Moroccan Lattice Background stamp with Peel Paint Distress Oxide. After, I stamped the sweet sentiment with black ink.

On another piece of trimmed white cardstock, I stamped the BG Wood Plank Background stamp with Chocolate Brown dye ink. Once the ink dried, I applied In the Buff dye ink with a blending tool. I adhered that with a piece of white cardstock as shown to the front panel.

To finish, I mounted the images as shown with Foam Mounting Tape and
3D Foam Squares and added the front panel to a top folding card base.

Below are the two cards I shared in my previous posts that I made with this kit (just in case you missed them).

MFT Card Kit Countdown Day 2

Hello everyone! Welcome to Day 2 of MFT Card Kit Countdown. Today, I used the Furever Friends stamp set to make a fun hidden slider card.

***The links to the products I used are at the bottom of this post***

To begin, I stamped and colored the dogs from the Furever Friends stamp set with Copic markers. I cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I trimmed two Bristol cardstocks to an A2 size. I die-cut the first cardstock twice using the Grassy Hills Die-namics. Then, I ink blended the die-cut grass panels and the second trimmed cardstock with Distress Oxides and Distress Inks as shown. Once dried, I stamped the sentiment on the shorter grass panel and heat set white embossing powder. This is where I should have added some splatters of water with a sprayer to add texture, but I did this later in my cardmaking.

I built the slider on the taller grass panel. I added two layers of mounting foam tape to the front and the back of that panel. I added a small strip of acetate to the sliding mechanism to make stilts for the image (more on this later).  I adhered the taller panel to the card front. Then, I adhered the shorter grass on top of the taller grass (this hides the slider panel).

Going back to the acetate I mentioned earlier, I made it so that it will stick up above the shorter grass panel, so that I could adhere the dog onto it. Before adhering the dog to the acetate, I added mounting tape to the back side of the acetate (without peeling off the backing on the other side) to keep the dog leveled as he slides back and forth (see photo above).

To help create my scene, I added some die-cut clouds and a sun. I also added the trees I made using the Modern Trees stamp set and coordinating dies. To finish, I adhered all the images to the panels and stamped a paw print next to the sentiment.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  See you again later tonight cause I have another fun card to share with you using this new kit.

MFT Card Kit Countdown Day 1

Hello and welcome to MFT Card Kit Countdown Day 1. You're going to love this month's Furever Friends Card Kit that is centered around adorable cats and dogs with the sweetest sentiments!

My card using the Furever Friends stamp set.

The new Furever Friends Card Kit.

***I added links to the products I used at the bottom of this post.***

To begin, I stamped the image with the Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored it with Copic markers. It was die-cut with the coordinating die.

I trimmed In the Buff cardstock to an A2 sized panel and cut out the center with the largest heart from the Stitched Heart Stax Die-namics. I stamped the two paw prints in the set with the Biscotti Premium Dye Ink in random order as shown.

I stamped the sentiment with the Chocolate Brown Dye Ink on the In the Buff cardstock and trimmed it with a banner die from Blueprints 27. I die-cut it so that both ends would be the same with stitched detailing.

I adhered the front panel to a top folding white cardstock. To finish, I added the image with Foam Squares and the sentiment strip with Foam Mounting Tape to the card front.

Pretty Pink Posh - Let it Snow

Hi there! Today, I'm sharing a winter scene card I made using Pretty Pink Posh stamp sets.

Pretty Pink Posh products used:
Woodland Critters stamp set and coordinating dies

To begin, I trimmed Bristol paper to an A2 sized panel. I inked blended the sky and the snow drifts using Distress Oxides. The sentiment from Holiday Greetings was heat embossed with white embossing powder. I stamped the foliages from Build a Bloom and Holiday Pals with Distress Oxides (I drew in the short brown foliage with Zig markers). I splattered Copic Opaque White to the entire front panel. I colored the bear from Woodland Critters with Copic markers and cut him out with the coordinating die. To finish, I adhered the bear to the front panel and added light shadows underneath him with Copic markers.

MFT - Sketch Challenge 363

Hello everyone! It's time for another fun MFT weekly Sketch Challange.

Here's the card I made inspired by the new sketch #363.

Here's the new sketch:

I started by stamping trimmed white cardstock using the beautiful More Rustic Wildflowers with Premium Dye Inks (see colors in the link below). These dye ink pads are great for stamping solid images and for ink blending with the blending tool.

I added the rectangle element from the sketch on the front panel by dry embossing a single stitch line rectangle frame to highlight the beehive and the sentiment.

I colored the adorable bees and the hive from the Meant To Bee stamp set with Copic markers. I cut them out with the coordinating dies. I stamped the sentiment on green cardstock and used the stitched banner (I shortened the length to fit the sentiment) from Blueprints 28 Die-namics to cut it out.

To finish I adhered the bees with foam squares and the sentiment with mounting tape. I added the front panel to an A2 sized top folding card base.  I hope I have inspired you to play along with the new sketch challenge and enter for a chance to win a $50 gift voucher to the MFT store.

Here's the card I made inspired by the new color challenge #83.

For today's challenge, my card features the adorable BB New Best Friend stamp set. I colored the images with Copic markers. To create my scene, I used the house from the new Town Bear stamp set, and the trees from the Modern Trees stamp set. I made the snow drifts using the Drifts and Hills Stencil with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I inked the sky to match the color challenge with Seedless Preserves and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide.

Mft - December Release Replay

Hello and welcome to MFT December Release Replay! Today, I'm sharing a card that features a few of the wonderful products that were released earlier this month. I created a fun winter scene card using the adorable Town Bear stamp set, Our Town Die-namics, and the Open Road Die-namics.

To begin, I colored the images from Town Bear and the trio of gifts (from BB Beary Special Birthday) on top of the car with Copic Markers. I cut them out with their coordinating dies.

To create the front panel, I trimmed white cardstock to an A2 sized panel and ink blended the top with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I stamped the "Hello There" sentiment from Polar Pals with Versamark ink, and heat set white embossing powder. I kept the sentiment simple so that it could be used as a Birthday or Christmas card.

I die-cut white cardstock as shown using the Our Town Die-namics. It's hard to see in the photo, but I lightly added snow drifts to this panel with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.

I die-cut gray cardstock using the Our Town die-namic, as well as the straight road using the Open Road Die-namics. I distressed the edges with white pigment ink.

I die-cut cardstocks using the tree die from the Scenic Snow Globe Die-namics. I added snow to the trees and the stop sign with the Snow Marker to reinforce the winter scene.

To finish, I adhered the panels and the images to the card front and then adhered that to a top folding card base.

Thanks for visiting today, and be sure to visit the MFT Stamps blog for more Release Replay inspirations from the participating design team members.

Pretty Pink Posh - Christmas Cheer

Are you done making your Christmas cards yet? If not, I have a last minute inspiration for you using Pretty Pink Posh products. I made an acetate window card that features the adorable Reindeer Friends stamp set. Acetate window cards are great for adding depth without the bulk and I love the way it looks.

I stamped the reindeer with Rich Cocoa Momento ink and the trees with Bamboo Leaves Momento ink and colored them with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies. The tree image is from the Winter Friends stamp set.

I blended the trimmed background panel with green dye inks and add splatters of water and Copic Opague white to add the snow element. Yes, green! I wanted to try a new backgroud color.  What do you think?

I used one of the die from  Stitched Borders2  and die-cut three trimmed white cardstocks for the snow panels. On the shortest snow panel, I stamped the sentiment from Holiday Greetings with VersaMark ink and heat set silver embossing powder.

I adhered the snow panels and the images to the acetate window (one deer on the background panel) and splattered Copic Opaque White again to add more snow element. To finish, I adhered the card to a top folding card base.
Don't these reindeer look so cute frolicking in the snow?!

I hope you enjoyed today's project.
Thanks for stopping by!
