Sunny Studio Stamps: CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW PAD!
Hello crafty friends! Amy here with a project that features the adorable Froggy Friends stamp set. I can't get over how cute and versatile these stamps are. Today I'm sharing a housewarming shaker card using the sentiment "congrats on your new pad!" Let's take a look.
To create the background, I used shades of blue from Kuretake Gansai Tambi on watercolor paper. For the front panel, I die-cut patterned paper with a rectangle die and then cut the center with an oval die. Next, I trimmed heat resistant acetate and stamped the sentiment and water ripples using Versamark ink. Then, I heat set it with white embossing powder and adhered the acetate behind the shaker window. After adding two layers of foam adhesive behind the front panel, I placed the sequins and adhered it to the watercolor paper.
Lastly, I colored the images with copic makers and adhered it to the front to create this fun and happy scene. Here's another look at the card.

MFT SKETCH CHALLENGE 326: MAGICAL DRAGON
Hello friends! I'm back with my last card as a guest designer for MFT Challenge & Inspiration. I'm very grateful to MFT for giving me this wonderful opportunity. I had so much working with their amazing products and playing along with the sketch challenges.
Let's take a look at new sketch 326. To be honest, today's sketch was bit tricky for me. The diagonal lines in the middle had me a little worried (I've never used them before). Hopefully you'll like the design I came up with.
To create my card, I die-cut two white cardstocks using the Scallop Frame. With the first cardstock, I stamped the sentiment going across using the Hybrid Black Ink. With the second, I distressed the cardstock using Distress Oxide in Broken China and Faded Jeans and trimmed off the top going diagonal. Then, I die cut Smooth White Heavy Weight Cardstock using Die-namics In The Clouds and gently inked the edges with Broken China. After, using the same cloud dies, I die-cut the distressed cardstock and inlaid the white clouds. I decided to add some pretty 5mm Silver Star Sequins to add more interest to the card.
For the two rounded rectangle sketch elements, I used the large cloud instead (that is propped up with dimensional foam) and an adorable dragon (how cute is his expression) from Magical Dragons. I colored him with Zig markers and colored pencils.

MFT: FARM FRIENDS
Happy Fri-Yay!!! Today I have for you a hidden slider card using the adorable Farm Friends stamp set from MFT.
I started the card by die-cutting two Bristol papers using a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" stitched rectangle. With the first die-cut paper, I added clouds using Distress ink in Tumbled Glass. I applied the ink with a finger dauber. Then, I die-cut the paper using a straight slider die. With the second paper, I die-cut two grass panels and distressed them with Distress Ink in Mowed Lawn.
For the sliding elements, I used adhesives, six pennies, and small round foam adhesives (see picture) to go between the two pennies and acetate. The acetate is used as stilts for the images so you won't see the slider channels (a genius idea I got from watching Jennifer Mcguire's video on Instagram).
I put two layers of foam adhesive on the front and back of the main panel. Having two layers of foam guarantees fluid movement. I attached the grass panels and adhered on the images to create the scene. Then, I stuck the main panel onto a folded note card.
I colored all the images using copic markers.

Sunny Studios: THANKS
Hello everyone! Amy here to share a card that features the Daffodil Dreams and Vintage Jar stamp sets. These layering stamps are wonderful for making beautiful flower themed cards for any occasion.
I stamped my daffodils with three shades of pink, and the leaves with two shades of green using dye inks. I die cut them with the coordinating dies. Then, I stamped the flower stems, and on top of that I stamped the Vintage Jar using two shades of light blue. I colored the bottom half of the jar with my light blue copic marker to represent water. I die cut the jar using the coordinating die and wrapped twine around the top to add dimension and interest.
To create my front panel, I trimmed cardstock to 5"X 4" and blended the bottom using the same inks I used for the flowers. I added a splatter of the same colors to go diagonally across the cardstock. I even colored the word 'thanks' using the same ink so that everything matched. Lastly, I assembled the die cut images onto the the front panel using foam adhesive and added it to a folded note card.

MFT Sketch Challenge 325: GO GET 'EM, TIGER
Hello, everyone! It's Wednesday so I'm back with another card for the MFT Sketch Challenge. This week offers another fun sketch that will give you a myriad of possibilities. I decided to make a shaker card using the brand new, super cute Lions and Tigers stamp set.
To create my front panel, I trimmed mustard cardstock to 4.5 X 5.75. I applied distress inks in Gather Twig and Walnut Stain. Then, I inked the Whimsical Woodgrain Background rubber stamp using Versafine Vintage Sepia and stamped the cardstock. I added clear embossing powder over the ink and heat set it. This gave it a nice texture to the front. Next, I took the largest Stitched Rounded Square Frames and die cut the front panel to create my shaker window and added acetate behind it.
I stamped the sentiment in the front of the acetate window using Versamark ink and heat set it with black embossing powder (I used Heat Resistant Acetate). After, I added two layers of foam adhesive behind it.
To create my back panel, I trimmed white cardstock to the same size as the front and applied Distress Inks in Twisted Citron and Mustard Seed. I added some splatters of water afterwards. I adhered the front panel to the back, making sure to pour in enough of the sparkly Lucky Sequin Mix from Pretty Pink Posh.
I colored the adorable family of tigers using Zig clean color real brushes along with Prismacolor pencils. I applied ink to the Leafy Greenery with the blending tool using distress inks in Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, and Mowed Lawn. Lastly, I adhered all the colored images to the front along with a die cut sentiment banner from Blueprints 27. Purple Onion Designs: THANK YOU
Hello crafty friends! I'm SO HAPPY to share with you that I'll be joining the Purple Onion Designs design team. I'm a huge fan of the rubberstamps the shop offers so I'm very excited for this opportunity. My card today features the super sweet Star and Sky Birds designed by Stacey Yacula.
On the front of a A1 folded note card I applied distress inks in spun sugar and tattered rose to the upper middle area. For my front panel, I trimmed mustard colored cardstock slightly smaller than the note card. I inked the wood grain background with black versafine ink and placed the cardstock on top (making sure to press down on the paper everywhere and evenly). After I heat embossed it using clear embossing powder. Then I applied gathered twig distress ink. Using the mustard colored paper helped me to get the desired color faster. I also used a circle die to die cut an opening for my images.
I stamped Star and Sky Birds and the banner from the Sweet Offerings Set on bristol paper with black versafine ink. I embossed the images with clear embossing powder and heat set it. I like using this method for any type of water coloring cause it prevents the colors from bleeding to unwanted areas.
I used zig clean real brush for the base color and used prismacolored pencils to add shading to the images. I think they work really well together.
To assemble the card, I added foam adhesive behind the front panel and adhered it to the front of the folded note card. I also added foam adhesive behind the images and adhered them in the circle opening. This gave the card nice dimension. I kept the card simple (hopefully sweet) so that the focus will be on those two precious birds. Aren't they the cutest, I just love them!

Neat and Tangled: HAPPY EASTER
Happy Friday! Today I made a card using Neat & Tangled, Cottontail Cuties. This stamp set is so cute and really fun to color. I actually colored a whole bunch of them for the The Daily Marker 30 Day coloring challenge. This card was inspired by Little Tangles challenge #78 Rainbow. So I used my new distress oxide ink to create a pastel rainbow background.
I colored the images using copic makers. Please note: I cut around the arms of some of the bunnies so that they can hold things, like the carrot and the egg.
Distress Oxides colors I used (I applied the inks with the finger dauber so that I can create smaller circles). I also splattered some water to the background for the textured look.

Sunny Studio Stamps: YOU COLOR ME HAPPY
Hello there! Amy here showcasing the Color Me Happy Stamps and Sun Ray Dies. Hopefully you've seen how wonderful and versatile the sun ray dies are from the previous post; today I'm going to show you how I made my own stencils with them and used it on the cards.
For the first card, I trimmed acetate to 6X6 and used just the rays from the Sun Ray Dies. I ran it through the die cut machine many times in the shape of the sun's rays (see picture below).
Using the stencil I made, I colored in the open areas with rainbow colored Distress Inks using the finger dauber.
I added the sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad. Then, I stamped and colored the adorable chick and paint brush from the A Good Egg stamp set and colored it with copics. I added foam adhesive behind the images and adhered it to the front panel.
For the second card, I made a stencil again- this time using the circles in the Sun Ray Dies.
I used the stencil to add rainbow colored Distress Inks ( adding more colors than my previous card) again using the finger daubers.
Once I was done adding all the colors, I used the Color Word Die and ran the paper through the die cut machine. I also die cut white card stock using the same die four more times to add dimension to the card. To achieve this, I adhered them together one on top of the other. Before gluing down the down the word "color," I stamped the rest of the sentiment with a Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad. Lastly, I added glossy accents to the die cut word "color" and the small circles on the sides.

MFT Sketch Challenge 324 : OH JOY! IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY!
Hi there! I'm happy to share another card for the MFT Challenge and Inspiration this month. It's always a pleasure to be a guest designer for one of my favorite companies. For today's card, I used lots of wonderful MFT products, including the adorable Sow Much Cuteness stamp set along with its coordinating dies. Let's take a look at the Sketch 324!
What I love about the sketch challenge is that you can interpret the shapes. It doesn't have to be exactly what you see on the sketch. For instance, for the circle element in the sketch, I blended distress ink using the Radiating Rays stencil in the shape of the circle. For the long sentiment banner you see, I used the Die-namics Picket Fence in its place.
I also replaced the tab on top with a butterfly. I had fun interpreting the sketch, creating this scene and making it my own.

PPP: THINKING OF YOU
Hello Friends! I hope you had a great weekend. Today, I have a spingy shakercard made with wonderful Pretty Pink Posh stamps, dies and sequins. For this card I used the cutest Bee Friends stamp set and coordinating dies. Please note: This set is only available as gift with purchase over $80 or If you spend over $125 you get the stamp set and coordinating dies (while supplies last). They will be available for purchase in May 2017 . Let's take a look at how I made this fun card.
First, I stamped and colored all the images using copic markers. I die cut them using the coordinating dies.
Then, I trimmed bristol cardstock to 5"X 4". I added clouds using distress inks and acetate stencil I made with one of the dies from Stitched Borders 2. So perfect for making clouds!
Next, I die cut white cardstock using the larger of the two Scallop Frames and added trimmed acetate behind it to make my shaker window. To create the ground for the sentiment and the flowers I used negative card stock that was left. I die cut the cardstock using one of the Scallop Borders and applied distress inks and added the the sentiment in black ink. After, I inlaid it on top of the shaker window with adhesive.
Once I knew where I wanted to add the bees I stamped the trail of black dots using the StazOn ink. After, I added two layers of foam adhesive behind the shaker window and added my Sequin Mixes from: 3mm Sparkling sequins, 4mm Springtime sequins,
Easter Mix. Lastly, I adhered the cloud background cardstock to the shaker window and added all the images that I colored to the front of the card.
Here's another look at the card. I added glittery stickles to the wings for sparkle and folded the wings up for fun and dimension.
