Sunny Studio Stamps: CAS Balloon Cards

Hello everybody! In the honor of the CASEology's challenge blog's 5th birthday blog hop, I created two cards to share with you. My cards features the balloon theme with two of the cutest farm animal from Sunny Studio Stamps's newest release for fall.

For the first card, I trimmed a top folding A2 card base using Neenah 110 cardstock. I stamped adorable sheep from Missing Ewe stamp set to the front of the card base. Then, I used a balloon stamp from Oceans Of Joy and applied the masking technique to make the blue balloon appear in front of the other two.

To make the sheep look like it's flying, I drew in the strings with a black Copic liner and colored the images with Copic markers. I stamped the sentiment "Thank Ewe" from the Missing Ewe set with Versamark ink on a small strip of black cardstock and heat embossed it in white. I mounted the sentiment with foam tape.

For the second card, I made a 4-1/2" square card base using the same cardstock. This time, I stamped the pig from Barnyard Buddies with a balloon from Birthday Smiles. I added white accents with a Gelly Roll pen.

I drew in the strings with a Copic liner to make the pig look like he's flying too. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment "Happy Birthday" from Barnyard Buddies.

Enjoy the hop! Thank you for stopping by!

Pretty Pink Posh: Happy Summer Shaker Card

Hello there! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Today, I'm stopping by to share a  shaker card using some wonderful Pretty Pink Posh July release products.

For this aquarium scene, I stamped adorable images from Sea Friends and Summer Friends, coloring them with Copic makers. Then, I cut them out with their coordinating dies.

To create the shaker window and the background, I trimmed two Bristol cardstocks to A2 size. With the first trimmed cardstock, I added stitched detailing around the borders and die-cut the center with the largest die from Stitched Diamonds to make the window. I distressed both panels with Distress Inks and added splatters of water for a textured look.

For the shaker window, I trimmed two panels of acetate to create double layers. I wanted to separate the sequins from the fish images for a cleaner look. I did this by placing a piece of cut acetate between the two. Each layer of acetate was mounted with a layer of foam tape. For the sequins, I used the new Mermaid Mix; perfect for any underwater scenes.  I added the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock and heat embossed it. To finish, I adhered the little girl and her fish to the front of the card to complete the scene.

Thank you for stopping by the blog!  Wishing you all a Happy Summer!

Pretty Pink Posh July Product Release Blog Hop-Day 1

Hello, and welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh July product release blog hop day 1!

If you arrived here from the Simon Says Stamp blog, you're at the right place. There's a full list of participants at the bottom of this post if you're starting from here.

I'll be sharing two cards with you today. My first card features the new and adorable Sea Friends stamp set.  I stamped the images and colored them with Copic markers and added accents with white Gelly Roll pen. Then I used their coordinating dies to cut them out.

To make the front panel, I trimmed Bristol cardstock to an A2 size and used Stitched Border to add stitched detailing around the panel. For the wave/water panels, I used trimmed A2 size Bristol cardstock and die cut it with the scallop border die from Stitched Borders

I added clouds on the front panel using an acetate stencil I made with the cloud shape border die from Stitched Borders 2, by applying Distress Inks with a finger dauber. I also colored the waves with Distress Inks. Once the inks dried, I heat embossed the sentiment "You Are Wonderful" from the Woodland Critters stamp set.

To create my scene, I mounted the wave panels with foam tape and adhered the fish with double sided tape. I made my own wobbler with a craft wire, and adhered it between the dolphin and the background panel. I mounted the splashes with foam tape. To finish, I glued on few Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix and added details with a white Gelly Roll pen.

My second card features the new Fly A Kite stamp set along with one of my favorite older set, Woodland Critters. I love mixing stamp sets to make fun scenes. I thought it would be cute to have the bear and the bunny fly the kites. I stamped and colored the images with Copic markers, used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I added white dots on their cheeks with Gelly pen.

To make the front panel, I trimmed Bristol cardstock to 4"x 5-1/4". Then, I die-cut full adhesive Post-Its using the cloud dies from Fly A Kite coordinating dies. I used that to mask off areas before applying Distress Inks to the front panel. This leaves white clouds on the blue background once you peel off the Post-Its. Next, I added the sentiment from Woodland Critters. I stamped "Friends" using black Versafine Ink, and I stamped "Forever" on  a small stripe of black cardstock with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it in white.

To create my scene, I adhered the clouds with double sided tape. I mounted the "Forever" sentiment, critters and the kites with foam tape. To finish, I adhered the front panel to an A2 sized top folding card base and added few Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix for a touch of sparkle.

Mama Elephant: Party Invitation

Hello everyone! Amy here today to share a few projects I made featuring Invitation Wishes and DIY Invitation stamp sets. They pair perfectly together to help you create an array of invitations and/or save the date cards. I made the projects simple and easy, so it can be mass produced. It's also flat for easy shipping.

For the first project, I used the Pretty Peonies stamp set.

To begin, I die-cut watercolor paper using the large cross-stitch border die from Sew Fancy Creative Cuts. Then, using the Misti stamping tool (this is essential if you're going to make multiple cards at once), I stamped the flowers using Antique Linen Distress Ink for no-line coloring.

I used a masking technique for the flowers (luckily, I had the masking paper already cut from a different project) in the top left corner of the card. I used Zig Clean Color Real Brushes to do some quick coloring. Next, I lightly distressed the background with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks, even going over the flowers. Once everything was dried, I stamped the sentiment "You're Invited" from the Invitation Wishes set with Versamark Ink and heat set gold embossing powder.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the words with the lines from DIY Invitation using a Misti. Then, I stamped the "Bridal Shower" and the flower using pink dye ink.

For the next project, I made some cute children's invitations using the Little Girl Agenda and Little Boy Agenda stamp sets. It's a fun way to invite children over for play dates.

To create the front panel, I die-cut five smooth white cardstocks with the large frame from Lafayette Creative Cuts. This was to add the beautiful stitched detailing. Then, I colored the borders with Copic markers, just to add more interest and color. Next, I stamped "You're Invited" using the Misti on all five front panels. I decided to create different invitations (see picture below). How cute is the little girl with the hand on her mouth with the matching "Shh, It's A Surprise"?!

For the inside of the card, I used the same layout as my previous project, but I added the little girl holding the "Hi" sign. I colored all the images with Copic markers.

To finish, I adhered the front panels to the front of the top folding card bases.

Summer Time Sunny Studio and Studio Katia Collaboration Blog Hop

Both teams are celebrating Summer Time with fun and colorful shaker cards using stamps from Sunny Studio and dies and embellishments from Studio Katia. There are prizes and a special sale too! Both companies have a prize to give away too, so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

Hello everyone! If you're coming from Svitlana's blog, you are in the right place. For this special collaboration blog hop, I'm sharing a card that features the Magical Mermaid stamp set from Sunny Studio, Dotted Patterns Set 1 creative dies, and Crystal Rainbow Sequins Fusion from Studio Katia.

To begin, I borrowed a balloon stamp from Sunny Studio's Oceans of Joy and used a masking technique to stamp a bouquet of balloons on smooth white cardstock. After, I stamped the mermaids on the same cardstock and colored all the images with Copic markers. I then fussy cut them out.

To create the background panel and the shaker window frame, I trimmed smooth Bristol cardstock to 11" x 8-1/2". I did this in order to keep the ombre of colors the same for the background, the window frame, and the matching tag. I distressed the cardstock with a combination of Distress Inks and Distress Oxides in the following order: Faded Jeans, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio. To add texture, I splattered water and let it dry.

Then, I took the distressed cardstock and trimmed it in half to create two A2 size cardstocks and die-cut the first one with the largest die from Dotted Patterns Set 1. I used that to create the background. I adhered the die-cut border and rectangle onto an A2 size card base (if you don't want the stitched detailing on the background, you can skip the die-cutting and just adhere the distressed cardstock). Next, I stamped the small fish stamps from Oceans of Joy onto the inside of the rectangle panel (see picture) with Mermaid Lagoon ink to make it more interesting.

To create the shaker window, I die-cut the second cardstock and just used the stitched rectangle. Then, I die-cut that with the second largest die from Dotted Patterns Set 1. This gave me the frame for the shaker window, as well the negative cut that I used to make a matching tag. I trimmed the acetate that will go behind the frame, and heat embossed the sentiment "Swimming By To Say Happy Birthday." After, I added two layers of foam tape behind the frame and mounted it to the background after adding some Crystal Rainbow Sequins Fusion. To finish, I added silver strings behind the balloons, and adhered all the elements to the front.

As I mentioned before, I used the negative cut to make a matching tag. I stamped the small fish, and heat embossed the sentiment. Lastly, I adhered the mermaid.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Friends are Life's Greatest Blessing

Hello crafty friends! I have a friendship card to share with you today. My card features Friends & Family and A Bird's Life stamp set from Sunny Studio Stamps. I think these two sets go really well together to help you create sweet scenes with pretty flowers and cute birds.

To begin, I trimmed white cardstock to 4-1/4"x 5-1/2 and die-cut it with the largest die from Traditional Tag Toppers to make the card front. While I had the die out, I also die-cut an A2 size card base to match the card front. However, I made sure to line up the die slightly above the paper so that the sides would get cut and not the top. This created a top folding tag shaped card base.

On the front panel, I stamped the flowers from the Friends & Family stamp set using various dye inks. I also blended the bottom of the panel with green dye ink. Then, I stamped the sentiment, "Friends Are Life's Greatest Blessings" from the same stamp set. I love that this set has so many wonderful sentiments about friends and family. I heat embossed the word "friends" in blue and stamped the rest in black ink.

To add dimension to the card, I stamped the flowers from Friends & Family again on a different white cardstock and cut them out. After, I stamped the birds, the birdhouse from A Bird's Life with Antique Linen Distress Ink and colored them with Copics. I decided to do no-line coloring to match the flowers.  For the wooden pole, I stamped it with brown dye ink and colored it with Copics. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Then, I adhered the flowers with a single layer of foam tape, and others with double layers to the front panel. For extra sweetness, I added a twine bow on top. To finish, I mounted the panel to the prepared card base.

I hope you enjoyed today's post. Thank you for stopping by!

Mama Elephant: Mermaid Kisses

Hello everybody! Amy here to share two projects featuring one of my favorites from the summer release, the Mermaid Kisses stamp set for Inspiration Week. I love this set; the ocean critters are beyond adorable and mermaids are so pretty. It's wonderful for creating underwater scenes.

For the first project, I focused on just one mermaid. I love the sweet and serene expression on her face. So, I created a scene where she's peacefully swimming through the water (surrounded by cute critters, of course).

To create the card front and the frame, I trimmed two smooth Bristol cardstocks to 4-1/4" x 5-1/2", and die-cut one of them with the frame die from Lafayette Creative-Cuts

I distressed both panels with Distress Inks in Chipped Sapphire, Peacock Feathers, and Tumbled Glass. After, I added splatters of water for a textured look. Once the card front dried, I stamped the sentiment, "Mermaid Kisses and Starfish Wishes" with Versamark ink and heat embossed it in white. Then, I mounted the die-cut frame on top with foam tape for added dimension.

I stamped the images on smooth white cardstock, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out with the coordinating creative-cuts. To finish, I adhered the images to the card front, some with double sided tape and others with foam tape. I also added Nuvo drops to add sparkle and more interest to the card.

For the second project, I made a shaker card using the Tri -Window Cover Creative Cuts. I love how this creative cut allowed me to create three little scenes on one card.

To begin, I stamped the images from Mermaid Kisses on smooth white cardstock, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out with their coordinating Creative-Cuts.

To create the card front and the window frame, I trimmed Bristol cardstock to 4-1/4" x 5-1/2", and die-cut one of them with the frame die from Tri -Window Cover Creative Cuts .

I distressed both panels using Dusty Concord, Wilted Violet, Worn Lipstick, and Spun Sugar Distress Inks working from bottom up in that order. Then, I added splatters of water and used a damp (with water) small bristle hair brush to create rays on the card. After, I dipped the brush in Stickles Stardust and created more rays to add shine as well. I was tempted to create a simpler card with this panel because I think it turned out pretty, but I stuck to my plans for making a shaker card. I also added small white Nuvo drops to create bubbles, but it's very hard to see in the pictures.

After the two panels were dried, I added some of the colored images to the card front to create dimension. Then, I adhered trimmed acetate to the back of the window frame and mounted it with two layers of foam tape to the card front after adding sparkling clear beads from Pretty Pink Posh. When you move the beads around, they look like water. It's pretty cool! For the sentiment, I die-cut blue glitter paper using the "HUGS" die from Tri -Window Cover creative cuts.

To finish, I created the scenes by adhering the rest of the images to the front windows.

Thank you for stopping by. Have an awesome day!
