MFT - March Birthday Project

Hello and welcome to My Favorite Things Birthday Project Challange.

The Birthday Project challenge is posted on the third Thursday of the month and feature ideas for getting creative with your birthday card making. Enter the monthly challenge for a chance to win a $50 MFT gift voucher!

This month we're featuring gift cards on our projects. Sometimes you’re short on inspiration, and sometimes, a gift card is simply the perfect gift…whatever the situation, sharing a gift card in fashionable form is a must. Join us this month in creating inspired presentations for the ubiquitous gift card.

To begin, I stamped the girl from Pure Innocence Birthday Girl set and colored her everywhere except for the dress in Copics. I wanted to give her a fun floral print dress so I covered her with washi tape and used a craft knife to cut away the parts I didn't need.

I created the shaped card base using the larger rounded corner rectangle die from Blueprints 31 by doing partial die-cutting. I placed the rectangle die on top of an A2 sized card base and placed the cutting line just above the top and ran it through the die-cutting machine.

I made the front panel by using the smaller rounded rectangle die from Blueprints 31. I stamped the sentiment as shown. Then I die-cut the panel with the Gift Card Window - Die-namics.  Then I placed the gift card inside the Gift Card Pouch and inserted pouch into the window and adhered it to the panel.

To finish, I attached the front panel to the card base and mounted the girl on top as shown.

details and more inspiration from the participating design team.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day and happy cardmaking!!
