MAMA ELEPHANT - MAY DESIGNER SERIES - ANIMAL PARADE

Hello everyone! I'm here with a Mama elephant Designer Series project featuring the adorable Animal Parade stamp set and On The Hills Creative Cuts.

To begin, I colored the stamped images from Animal Parade and the two birds from Tea with Friends and colored them with Copic markers. I stamped the "Make Some Noise" sentiment onto the banner the bear is carrying with brown dye ink. I then cut out the images with the coordinating Animal Parade Creative Cuts and Tea With Friends Creative Cuts.

For the front panel, I die-cut Smooth Bristol paper with the largest die from Basic Rectangles Creative Cuts and ink blended it with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink. I also lightly inked the clouds that I die-cut using the On The Hills Creative Cuts.

To make the 4 hill panels, I die-cut Smooth Bristol cardstock with a hill die from Landscape Trio Creative Cuts and hill dies from On The Hills Creative Cuts. I inked blended each layer with the combination of Lucky Clover and Bundled Sage. To add some texture, I spritzed the panels with water. Then, I adhered the four layers together and affixed it to the front panel. On the shortest hill panel, I stamped the other part of the sentiment "Pa-Ra-Pa-Pam-Pam" with a brown dye ink.

I adhered the clouds to the front panel as well as the little trees (made with the dies from the On The Hills Creative Cuts) that were Copic colored.

To finish, I foam mounted all the images to the card front as shown and glued the front panel to a top folding card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Happy cardmaking!!

MFT JUNE COUNTDOWN DAY 5

Hello there! Welcome to the first day of the MFT June release Countdown kickoff! All the new products will be available Tuesday, June, 5th at 9 PM EDT. View the MFT Blog and leave a comment there for a chance to win $75.00 gift voucher.

I have a fun card to share with you today. It features the Toucan Do It stamp set.

I colored the stamped tropical birds with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. How fun and cute are these birds with the sweatbands and legwarmers?! For added interest, I gave them Wiggle Eyes.

To create the front panel, I used a masking technique to layer the leaves and I stamped them using Premium Dye Inks.  Masking is a technique of covering a stamped image so that the other images may be placed over it. After I inked the leaves, I ink blended the background with Peacock Feathers  Distress Ink. I also spritzed it with water to add texture.

I die-cut Gumdrop Green cardstock with a die that's included in the Toucan Do It Die-namics to make the swinging vines. I believe the die is meant to make a tightrope for these active birds.

To make the grass panel, I die-cut Sour Apple cardstock with a die from Grassy Edges. To add more color, I inked it with Gumdrop Green Premium Dye Ink. After, I stamped the sentiment with Extreme Black Hybrid ink.

Thank you for visiting me today. I hope I'll see you again tomorrow for Countdown Day 4.

MFT Color Challenge 94

Hello there! I'm here today with the lastest MFT Color Challenge!

To begin, I Copic colored the little girl (using the challenge colors) from the PI Love You a Bunch stamp set and cut her out with the coordinating Die-namics.

For the front panel, I die-cut A2 sized Heavyweight Primitive Cream card stock with the largest die from the Inside & and Out Stitched Oval Stax Die-namics. I stamped the sentiment on this panel with Chocolate Brown Hybrid Ink, then foam mounted the front panel to the background panel that was ink blended with Lemon Chiffon and Peach Bellini.

To make the beautiful roses, I die-cut Sno cone, Lemon Chiffon, and Peach Bellini felts with the Mini Rolled Roses Die-namics. The leaves were made by die-cutting Sour Apple Felt with the leaf dies from April's Stitched Blooms Card Kit. I used a hot glue gun to adhere all the pieces together and onto the card front.

To finish, I foam mounted the little girl to the card front as shown.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll play along with this week's new Color Challenge. For more information and inspiration from the participating design team members ,you can visit the MFT Challenge Blog.

MFT MAY CARD KIT RELEASE

Hello and welcome! The My Favorite Things MFT May Card Kit, the Painted Prints, is now available at the MFT Boutique! Make sure to grab your kit before they sell out! I had so much fun making my projects with this versatile kit- I know you will too!

I have a floral shaker card to share with you for my last project using the new kit.

To begin, I stamped the florals and the leaves from the Painted Prints stamp set on Smooth White card stock with Premium Dye Inks (the ink colors are on the supplies list). After, I cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I made the shaker window by die-cutting A2 sized Smooth White cardstock with the largest die from Linked Chain Oval Frames.

After, I trimmed heat resistant acetate to the same size and white heat embossed the sentiment using the Brushstoke Expressions sentiment stamp set. I adhered the acetate behind the window panel with the sentiment showing in the front.

I foam mounted the shaker window to a background panel that was ink blended with Peach Bellini and Bubblegum Premium Dye Inks. I added splatters of Cotton Candy Ink diluted slightly with water. For the shaker elements, I used Pink Blush and Buttercream Jewels.

To finish, I arranged and adhered the florals and leaves to the card front as shown.

Just in case you missed it, here are the other two projects I made with the kit.

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for more inspirations using this month's kit!

MAMA ELEPHANT - OH HAPPY DAY

Hello and welcome to the last post of the May Release Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight series. Today, the design team is showcasing the large, beautifully penned Oh Happy Day stamp set that's great for all occasions.

To begin, I die-cut smooth Bristol paper with the largest die from Basic Rectangles Creative Cuts. Then, I white heat embossed the large sentiment from Oh Happy Day. After, I distressed the panel with Distress Oxides in a circle motion. I added the smaller circles using a finger dauber and white pigment ink to create a bokeh effect. I white embossed the smaller sentiment on a Copic colored thin strip.

I colored the stamped images from Party Animals with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and cut them out.

To finish, I foam mounted the images and the smaller sentiment. For some sparkle, I glued on few clear sequins.

That's it for today, I hope you enjoyed my project! Thank you for stopping by!

It's time for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #386! As always, it's a fun sketch, and I hope you'll play along with us for a chance to win a $50 gift voucher to MFT Boutique!

Here's my take on the sketch:

Sketch #386

To begin, I stamped and Copic colored the images from Party Animals and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

For the front circle panel, I die-cut white card stock with the largest die from Circle STAX Die-namics. I ink blended the clouds using the Mini Cloud Edges Stencil with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide.

I made the grass panel that sits on top of the front panel by first die-cutting Gumdrop Green card stock with the same large circle die, then I die-cut that with a die from the Grassy Hills Die-namics.

I stamped the sentiment with Extreme Black  Hybrid ink on a strip of Sour Apple card stock.

To finish, I foam mounted the circle panel to a top folding A2 size card base and then foam mounted the pigs and the sentiment to the card front as shown.

MFT MAY CARD KIT DAY 1

Hello and welcome to the first day of the My Favorite Things May Card Kit Countdown! I have a floral card to share with you using the new Painted Prints Kit.

Using the Painted Prints stamp set included in the kit, I made a floral pattern background on Smooth White card stock using Premium Dye Inks (see colors in the supplies section). I masked each flower before stamping the leaves to make the leaves appear like it's behind the flower.

On top of the patterned panel, I adhered trimmed vellum and affixed the panel to a top folding A2 size Ripe Raspberry card stock. I then foam mounted a white heat embossed sentiment from the Brushstroke Expressions stamp set (also in the kit) to the card front. I also added a stamped and die-cut flower and leaves on the card front.
