Hello and welcome to the My Favorite Things Techniques and Tutorials! Today, I'm sharing how to make a fun scene card with a sunset sky featuring the Aussie Animals stamp set from the May release.
To begin, I stamped the adorable images from Aussie Animals with Chocolate Brown Hybrid Ink on Neenah 80lb paper. I colored them with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies.
I cut the koala off the branch (and went over the cut area with a black marker) and attached him to the kangaroo with glue as shown. Hehe..he's getting a piggyback ride! :)
On A2 sized Bristol paper, I ink blended the sunset sky with Spiced Marmalade, Wilted Violet, and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxides.
I die-cut Gumdrop cardstock with the shorter grass die from Grassy Edges Dienamics. I made three grass panels varying in heights.
I added Forest Moss Distress Oxide to the grass panels in order to darken it a little and add texture. I stamped the sentiment to the shortest grass panel with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink.
I adhered the tree and the tallest grass with double-sided tape to the front panel. The other two grass panels were foam mounted for dimension. I added the grass with the sentiment to the front.
To finish, I adhered the animals in-between the grass panels and adhered the front panel to a top folding card base.
I hope you enjoyed my project and found the tutorial helpful.
