MFT - CC96

Hello there! Today, I'm playing along with the new Color Challange 96 from My Favorite Things.

My card features the sweet BB Bubble Over With Joy stamp set and Big Hugs Die-namics.

To begin making the card, I Copic colored the stamped bunnies from BB Bubble Over With Joy and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

For the front panel, I used trimmed Blue Yonder Prestige cardstock and stamped the background with bubbles (from the same stamp set) using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink.

The sentiment "Hugs" was die-cut using the Hugs Die-namics and foam mounted to the front panel with the bunnies. The other sentiment was heat embossed in white and was also foam mounted.

Thank you so much for joining me today. I hope you enjoyed my project!

MAMA ELEPHANT - DANDELION WISHES

Hello and welcome to the Mama Elephant June Release Stamp Highlight. For the last Stamp Highlight, the design team is showcasing the adorable Dandelion Wishes stamp set filled with heartwarming critters blowing dandelions to make their wishes.

For my card today, I used the images from Dandelion Wishes to make a sweet pop-up box card using 3D Pop-up Card - Creative Cuts.

I Copic colored the stamped images and cut them out with the Dandelion Wishes Creative Cuts.

To make the box frame, decorative panels, and inserts (to hold the images), I used the 3D Pop-up Card - Creative Cuts to die-cut Neenah 110 paper. For the decorative panels on the outside of the box, I used woodgrain patterned paper. I ink blended the panels on the inside of the box and the grass inserts with Distress Oxides (added splatters of water) and stamped the sentiment and dandelions.

I adhered the panels, inserts, and images with glue. I suspended the bugs and the mouse by using strips of acetate.

Thank you for stopping by! Visit the Mama Elephant blog to check out what the rest of the talented design team has come up with using the Dandelion Wishes.

MFT WSC 391

Hello! Today, I'm playing along with the new MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 391.

My card features the adorable Love You Furever stamp set and Collage Cover-Up Die-namics (which is perfect for the challenge). I used the inside of the squares to build my little scenes.

Sketch 391

I colored the stamped images with Copic markers and cut them out with their coordinating dies.

I lightly ink blended an A2 panel with Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxides and spritzed it with water using a sprayer to lighten the color even more. Once it dried, I die-cut the panel with the Collage Cover-Up Die-namics. I foam mounted the die-cut frame onto a top folding card base and glued the negative pieces back in.

I foam mounted the images to create my little scenes inside the squares. Then, I glued on some Sparkling Clear sequins.

To finish, I foam mounted the sentiment that was inked with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide, white heat embossed, and cut out with a die from Hearts in a Row Die-namics.

MFT - BIRDS OF A FEATHER CARD KIT RELEASE DAY

It's time to shop!
The MFT June Card Kit is now available for purchase at the MFT Boutique.

Here is my last project using this amazing kit- a rainbow of birds!

First, I inked the die-cut birds and all their parts using Distress Oxides (the colors are under supplies) with Sponge Daubers. After, to add some texture, I spritzed it with water using a sprayer. Then, I glued on all the pieces to make the birds as shown.

While I had my rainbow of Distress Oxides out, I also inked the die-cut sentiment "Hello" from Simply Hello & Love You Die-namics, which will be releasing with the June 2018 kit (it's free with every order over $60).

The front panel was also ink blended with Distress Oxides and spritzed with water using a sprayer,

To assemble the card, I glued on die-cut black lines that I made using the clothesline die from Bundle of Baby Clothes Die-namics and the sentiment with the heart to the front panel. To finish, I foam mounted the birds to the front for dimension.

Just in case you missed it, here are the other two projects I shared using the kit:

MFT - JUNE CARD KIT DAY 2

Hello and welcome to the MFT June Card Kit Countdown Day 2. I hope you enjoyed yesterday's Day 1 sneak peeks of the new Birds of a Feather kit. This awesome and versatile kit will be available for purchase tomorrow night, June 26th at 9PM EDT.

To begin, I die-cut the bird and birdhouse using the dies from Birds of the Feather using colored cardstocks. I used a white gel pen to add dots and lines on the bird. I stamped the birdhouse with the Wood Plank Background stamp that was inked with Cornflower Premium Dye Ink for added interest.  For the sentiment "Hello," I used dies from the Simply Hello & Love You Die-namics, which will be releasing with the June 2018 kit (it's free with every order over $60).

The background panel was inked with the Mini Cloud Stencil and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide.

The A2 sized front panel with the stitched opening was die-cut with the largest die from the Inside & Out Stitched Oval STAX Die-namics. After, I foam mounted it to the background panel. I foam mounted the birdhouse a well and glued on the bird and the sentiment.

I love love love this kit so much, and I had a blast playing with it! I actually saved my favorite card to share last, so don't forget to stop by my blog tomorrow for the release day!

MAMA ELEPHANT - CREATIVITY IS CONTAGIOUS

Hello and welcome to Mama Elephant's third Stamp Highlight showcasing the June release! Today, the design team is highlighting the beautifully hand-lettered Creativity Is Contagious sentiment stamp set.

For my cards today, I water-colored the backgrounds to use with the Creativity Is Contagious stamp set. I created bright colored backgrounds to highlight the large sentiment.

For both cards, I used the wet on wet technique using Fabriano Artistico Extra White watercolor paper and Distress Ink refills.  I mixed the refills with water until I got the desired color. After the panels were dry I added splatters of white paint for interest and texture.

For the first card, I die-cut the panel with the largest die from Basic Rectangles - Creative Cuts. After, I heat embossed the sentiment in silver. I added highlights around the letters with a white gel pen,

The second card was die-cut with the second largest die from Basic Rectangles - Creative Cuts. I white heat embossed the sentiment and foam mounted it to a top folding A2 sized card base.

That's it for today! Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you'll visit me again on Wednesday, June 27th for the final Stamp Highlight. Visit the Mama Elephant blog for more inspiration from the design team using the  Creativity Is Contagious stamp set.

MFT - JUNE CARD KIT DAY 1

Hello and welcome to the MFT June Card Kit Countdown Day 1. You're going to love the versatility of the Birds of a Feather kit. It will be available for purchase on Tuesday, June 26th at 9 EDT.

For today, I have a tweet card to share with you that requires no inks or coloring.

To begin, I die-cut the leaves, flowers, birds, hearts and the sentiment with different colored cardstocks.

Then, I traced a circle (twice) using a brown colored pencil on the front panel. I foam mounted the leaves around the circle and glued on the white flowers as shown. On one of the flowers, I added a twine bow underneath it to add more interest to the card. Next, I foam mounted the birds and glued on the sentiment ( I used the Free with $60 Simply Hello & Love YOu Die-namics, releasing with the June 2018 kit, with every qualifying order) to the front panel. Lastly, I added a few Pearl White Jewels.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! See you again tomorrow for day 2!

MAMA ELEPHANT - GARDEN FRAME

Hello, and welcome to Mama Elephants's second Stamp Highlight. Today, the design team is highlighting the Garden Frame stamp set. The set includes a beautiful floral frame with large clusters of flowers and some whimsical fonts for fast and easy card making.

To begin making this card, I Copic colored the stamped image of the floral frame from Garden Frame and cut it out with the Garden Frame Creative Cuts.

To create the front panel, I used two different sized washi tapes (alternating between the two sizes) to cover a trimmed white paper. I removed the wider washi tape one strip at a time and inked it with Distress Inks. After, I removed all the washi tapes on the panel for a diagonal striped pattern.

To add stitched detailing to the front panel, I die-cut paper with the second largest rectangle die from Basic Rectangles Creative Cuts. I stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment to the center of the card and mounted the frame around it. Then, I stamped the smaller sentiment on the leftover piece of paper that was inked and trimmed it out. After, I mounted it to the card front as well. To finish, I added few sparkling crystals.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you'll visit me again on Monday, June 25th for another Stamp Highlight. Visit the Mama Elephant blog for more inspiration from the design team using the Garden Frame stamp set.

Happy cardmaking!!
