Hello there! Today, I'm playing along with the new MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 393. It's a simple and fun sketch; I hope you can play along with us!
My card inspired by the sketch:
The new sketch 393:
My card features a few of the images from BB Gil Friends that I Copic colored and cut out with coordinating dies.
On the front panel, I ink blended the sandy area using the Drifts and Hills stencil with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Oxides. For the water area, I ink blended it with Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio. To create the rays hitting the water, I used the Radiating Rays stencil as a guide and wiped off some off the ink with a slightly damp paper towel. I then sprayed it with a Mini Mister (I covered the sandy area before misting). This helped to blend the colors and the streaks on the panel.
After the panel dried, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Beach Buds across the card to fit the sketch element. To finish, I foam mounted the front panel to a top folding card base, adhered the sea plants, and foam mounted the fish as shown.
Thank you so much for joining me today. I hope you enjoyed my project!
