MFT SEPTEMBER BIRTHDAY PROJECT

This month's challenge is Birthday Surprise!

Slide, spin, and wobble your way to birthday card perfection with this month’s challenge. Add an interactive element to surprise your recipient with an unexpected twist on a traditional look. Check out what our team has done and then, get busy creating your own interactive masterpiece!

For my card today, I made a fun hidden slider card. It features the adorable BB Happy Hippos and the Double Slider Loop Slots Die-namics.

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped images from BB Happy Hippos and cut them out with their coordinating dies.

I inked the background panel using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide with the Cloud Stencil. On the panel, I used the Double Slider Loop Slots Die-namics and made the mechanism that allows the hippo with the balloons to move up and down. For a detailed explanation on how the die works and the steps to build the mechanism, you can watch the Youtube video by Karolyn HERE.

In front of the background panel, I foam mounted the cloud panel that I die-cut using one of the dies from Stitched Cloud Edges Die-namic.

Then, I adhered two grass panels that I die-cut using Gumdrop Green Card Stock and Grassy Hill Die-namics.

To finish, I stamped the sentiment from BB Happy Hippos and adhered the colored images as shown.

I hope you'll play along with us for a chance to win a $50 MFT gift voucher. I'm looking forward to seeing all the fun interactive cards. For more information, visit the Card Challenges Blog!
