MFT OCTOBER HITS AND HIGHLIGHTS

Hello and welcome to the MFT October Hits and Highlights challenge for the design team.
This month we were asked to create a project with the theme of:

Merry and Bright
With the Christmas season approaching quickly, we’re bringing some merry and some bright to your computer today. We’ve challenged our designers to feature products that include “merry” in the name or to add some brightness to their projects with their favorite lights. You’ll surely be inspired to tackle your own holiday cards after checking out their creations!

My card today features the adorable Tweet Holidays stamp set.

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped images from Tweet Holidays stamp set and cut them out with coordinating dies.

The front panel was ink blended with Distress Oxides. I added splatters of water with a sprayer. After, I used a white gel pen to add snow on the panel and the images. Then, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Tweet Holidays stamp set. This is where you will find the word "Merry" for the Hits and Highlights challenge for this month.

To finish, I foam mounted the images to the card front as shown.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!

MFT - COLOR CHALLENGE #104

New MFT Color Challenge #104

My card inspired by the challenge:

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped images from Fall Friends stamp set to match the color challenge. After, I cut them out with the coordinating dies.

The front panel was ink blended to match the color challenge as well using Orange Zest, Wild Wisteria, and Lavender Fields Premium Dye Inks. I added splatters of Lavender Fields to add some interest. After it dried, I stamped the sentiment from the Fall Friends stamp set.

To build the card, I adhered an A2 sized patterned paper from the Petite Plaid Paper Pack. Then, I added a layer of trimmed Orange Zest Prestige Cardstock. On top of that, I adhered the ink blended front panel.  To finish, I foam mounted the images to the card front as shown.

MFT - SWEET HOLIDAY PENGUINS DAY 2

Hello! I'm back again to share my second card using the adorable Sweet Holiday Penguins stamp set illustrated by a new MFT designer, Stacey Yacula. This set will be available for purchase along with the new Card Kit - Festive Flamingos tomorrow on October, 23 10AM EDT.

To begin, I Copic colored the images from Sweet Holiday Penguins stamp set and cut them out with the coordinating dies. To add fur like texture to the penguins I used a thin white gel pen.

For the front panel, I used patterned paper from the Candy Land Paper Pack. To make the paper more sturdy, I applied Double-sided Adhesive Sheet behind it and added a layer of Neenah 80. Then, I die-cut it with the largest die from A2 Stitched Die-namics and the circle with a die from the Starry Circle Die-namics.

The background panel was ink blended with Distress Oxides. I foam mounted the front panel to the background panel to add dimension to the card.

I stamped the sentiment from the Sweet Holiday Penguins stamp set with the Red Hot Premium Dye Ink and cut it out with a sentiment strip die from Blueprint 27 Die-namics. After, I adhered it to the front panel.

To finish, I foam mounted the images inside the circle as shown and added few Sparkling Clear Sequins.

ME STAMP HIGHLIGHT: HAPPY NEW YEAR WISHES

Hello and welcome back to the Mama Elephant October Release Stamp Highlight! Today, the design team is highlighting the beautifully hand-lettered Happy New Year Wishes stamp set.

For today's card, I was inspired to pair the Happy New Year Wishes stamp set with the adorable Lovely Piggies since 2019 is the year of the Pig in the Chinese horoscope. :)

To begin, I Copic colored the images from Lovely Piggies stamp set and cut them out with the coordinating Lovely Piggies Creative Cuts.

I gold embossed the large sentiment from the Happy New Year Wishes stamp set onto a red A2 sized cardstock. Then, I added splatters of gold paint and stars that I die-cut using Lots of Stars Creative Cuts

The smaller sentiment also from the  Happy New Year Wishes stamp set and it was embossed in gold on white cardstock and cut out. I foam mounted it to the front panel as shown.

To give dimension to the card, I foam mounted a die-cut frame I made using the die from Peg works Creative Cuts. Inside the frame, I also foam mounted the colored piggies as shown.

Thank you for visiting me today! I hope you enjoyed my project.
