MFT FEBRUARY RELEASE COUNTDOWN DAY 5

Hello and welcome to the MFT February Release Countdown kickoff!  All of the amazing new products will be available on Tuesday, February 5th at 10AM EST.  Make sure to stop by the MFT Blog every day for the next five days to see the full reveal.

My project today features the dog from the Super Dog, the cat from the Super Cat stamp sets and City Block Die-namics.

To begin, I stamped the cat and the dog with the Cement Gray Hybrid Ink for no-line coloring with Copics and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

The front panel was die-cut with the stars in the Sky Die-namics- Horizontal and ink blended with Distress Oxides.

The skyline was die-cut with the City Block Die-namics using the Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock.

The sentiment was heat embossed in white and die-cut with a die from the Hearts In a Row - Horizontal.

To assemble the card, I adhered the front panel to a top folding A2 sized card made with Smooth White Prestige Cardstock. After, I adhered the skyline and foam mounted the colored images and the sentiment to the front panel as shown.

That's it for today. I hope you enjoyed my card. See you again tomorrow for my Count Down Day 4 project.

ME JANUARY DESIGNER SERIES PROJECT

Hello! Amy here with a fun interactive designer series project featuring the adorable Flying with Friends set along with a few of the other amazing products from the January release. Details will be revealed later!

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped elephants and mice from the Flying with Friends and the Wild Meadow stamp sets. I cut them out with the coordinating Flying With Friends Creative Cuts and the Wild Meadow Creative Cuts.

To make the cloud panel, I used the Wiper Surprise Creative Cuts as a guide and created a slightly taller card using the paper trimmer and Score Buddy. This allowed me to create a bigger grass area as well as allowing the flying elephant with the mouse to fit on the card as shown. When the panel is flat, it measures at 5 1/4 x 5 1/4.  It fits nicely inside an A2 sized envelope.

To make the inked clouds, I die-cut an acetate with the Cloudy Day Cover Creative Cuts to make a stencil. Then, I used the stencil with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide to make the clouds. The stamped sentiment on the panel "You're the Best" is from the Flying with Friends stamp set.

I assembled the wiper card according to a great tutorial on Youtube by Mama Elephant. You can watch the video HERE.

To finish, I attached the mouse with the orange balloon to the die-cut wiper that I made using a die from the Wiper Surprise Creative Cuts. When you pull the card from the sides, he'll pop up to give the card recipient a fun surprise!

That's it for today. I hope you enjoyed my project.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!!

MFT - WEDNESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE 422

My card inspired by the new challenge:

The bottom of the front panel was die-cut with the Basic Stitch Lines and ink blended it with Cotton Candy Premium Dye Ink.

The sentiments are from the SY Joyful Heart Bears and were stamped with Cotton Candy, Ripe Raspberry, Razzle Berry Premium Dye Inks and cut out with the paper trimmer.

The tiny hearts were die-cut with the heart dies from the Stitched Strip Die-namics.

To finish, I foam mounted the colored image, the tiny hearts, and the sentiments as shown.

MFT JANAURY HITS AND HIGHLIGHTS

Hello and welcome to the MFT January Hits and Highlights challenge for the design team. This month, we were challenged to create a project with the theme of:

Lots of Love for Shaker Cards
Falling in love definitely causes a rattle and hum in your heart, so it’s only appropriate that your love-themed cards feature a shaker heart to honor that feeling. This month, we’ve challenged our designers to create shaker cards featuring hearts — big hearts, mini hearts, balloon hearts, and multi-hearts...there are so many options available in the shop we know they will blow us away with the variety and creativity they bring to the challenge. Are you feeling the love? Us too!

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped bunny from BB Somebunny and the birds from BB Happy Hippos and cut them out.

The front panel was ink blended using the Cloud Stencil and The Grassy Edges Stencil with Distress Oxides.

The heart balloon shaker was made with using the Heart Balloon Shaker Window & Frame. I used an alcohol blended paper for the background of the heart balloon. I used Ripe Raspberry Prestige Card Stock for the heart frame and the Tickled Pink Prestige Stock for the string. For the shaker element, I added heart confetti.

To finish, I foam mounted the colored images and added the heart shaker balloon to the card front as shown.

That's it for today. Thank you so much for stopping by!
