MFT: BB Bitty Bear Birthday and Christmas Cards

Hello everyone! I'm so happy to be back again to share with you two fun shaker cards featuring the BB Bitty Bear stamp set. Two days ago, I shared gift tags made with them, and today I'm sharing their matching cards.

I made two very similar cards for different occasions. For both, I stamped the images from BB Bitty Bear on smooth white cardstock, and colored them with Copic markers. I used a white Gelly Roll pen to add small accents. After, I used their coordinating dies to cut them out. I also used the same Blueprints 27 dienamics for the the base panel, as well as the inner rectangle for the shaker windows. This blueprint is perfect for adding cute critters inside the three small rectangles and sentiments in the long rectangle window.

To begin, I created the base panel for the Christmas card by diecutting Bristol cardstock using the scallop die from Blueprint 27. I inked it with Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, and Twisted Citron Distress Oxides, and splattered water with a paint brush. Once everything dried, I ran it through the die cutting machine with Vertical Snowfall Die-namics to create a snowy background.

To make the shaker window, I die-cut white cardstock with the inner rectangle from Blueprint 27, and trimmed heat resistant acetate to the same size. After treating the acetate with anti-static powder, I stamped the sentiment "Happy Holiday Cheer to You" from Toasty Greetings using Versamark ink and set white embossing powder with a heat gun. Then, I adhered the acetate behind the window frame. I added two layers of foam adhesive around the frame mounted it on top of the base after adding some glitter and fake snow.

To finish, I added the images to the three rectangles, and added the card to a slightly larger top folding card base.
The second card was made the same way as the first card, with a few differences. For the Birthday card, I added different colors inside the three small rectangles. I used thin washi tapes to create borders for adding different inks. I removed the tape once I was done. I inked the base panel with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxides and Spun Sugar Distress Inks. For the smaller rectangles, I used Salty Ocean, Twisted Citron and Wilted Violet Distress Oxides.

The sentiment was prepared the same way as the first card.  "May All Your Wishes Come True" is from the Big Birthday Sentiments set.  For the shaker component, I used sparkling clear sequins and added colored images of cupcakes, hearts, and gift boxes in the smaller rectangles.

That's all for today. I hope you enjoyed today's post. See you again September 29th. Until then, happy crafting!
