Hello and welcome to MFT Countdown Kickoff! Once again, the new release is filled with amazing products you're going to love. Make sure to stop by the MFT Blog every day for the next five days to see the full reveal of the new products.
You will find links to the products I used at the bottom of this post. Please note, all the links for the new items will not work until December, 5th at 9pm EST (Release Day).
To begin, I stamped the images from the Town Bear on a blending card and colored them with Copic markers. I cut them out with the coordinating dies.
To create my card front, I die-cut Bristol paper to an A2 sized panel and added the puffy clouds using the cloud stencil and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide.
Next, I blended the die-cut hill panels with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide. I die-cut the taller hill panel with the straight slider die from the new Open Road Die-namics. I extended the slider channel to almost the width of the card. I thought it would be fun to have the car move back and forth for a longer distance. Then, die-cut the road with gray cardstock. To finish, I adhered all the elements together.
Please note, I built the slider mechanism as I normally do on the taller hill panel. To keep the slider hidden I added a thin strip of acetate to the front of the sliding element ( I used dimes) and adhered the bear to the top of the acetate with a small foam tape. Then, I covered it with the shorter hill panel. Since the bear is attached to the acetate only on top, I moved it to the front of the shorter hill panel.
Another helpful note is to use two layers of foam tape for the back and front of the taller hill panel (making sure to leave enough room around the slider channel). This will give the slider enough room to move back and forth smoothly.
Video of the moving car.

Thank you for stopping by today and I'll see you again tomorrow for Countdown Day 4!
Hugs, Amy
