Hello, and welcome to Day 1 of the Pretty Pink Posh November Product Release Blog Hop.
If you've arrived at my blog from the talented Kay Miller, you are in the right place. I have a full list of participants at the bottom of this post.
I have two projects to share with you today using some of the new and amazing Pretty Pink Posh products. Let me show you the first card.
This Holiday card features the adorable foxes from the new Winter Woodland stamp set. I colored them with Copic markers and cut them out with their coordinating dies. I used a white Gelly pen to add snow to the foxes.
To create the card front, I used the trees from Holiday Pals and stamped large tree twice and the smaller tree three times on full adhesive Post-its. Afterwards, I cut them out. I then stamped the trees on an A2 sized smooth white cardstock panel, and used some of the cut out masking tapes to overlap the trees as shown. I also used the masking tape to cover the trees in order to ink the sky. Next, I colored the trees in and added light shadows underneath them with Copic markers.
I die-cut masking paper with the wavy border die from Stacked Edges, and used it to create light snow drifts with the Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. Using the same piece, I masked the hill and inked the sky with Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks. I added splatters of water and white Copic ink to make it look like it was snowing.
I stamped the sentiment "Let It Snow" from the new Holiday Greetings sentiment stamp set with Versamark Ink, and embossed it with white embossing powder. To finish, I adhered the foxes with dimensional tape.
The second card features the beautiful Wild Rose stamp set. I trimmed watercolor cardstock to an A2 sized panel and die-cut the center with the Thank You Script die.
I created masking tapes for the flowers and leaves in order to overlap them. First, I stamped the flowers onto the panel with Spun Sugar Distress Inks, and the leaves in Peel Paint. I embossed them with clear embossing powders. I masked the flowers and the leaves, and repeated the process until I had the arrangement I wanted. Since water-coloring is something I don't do often, embossing the flowers and leaves helped me color inside the lines for a clean no-line coloring look.
I colored the flowers with Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar and the leaves with Peeled Paint, Mowed Lawn Distress Inks. Using the same pink inks, I colored the cut out "Thank You." I trimmed the edges off a little, and die-cut the panel with the frame die from Stitched Notes. The die cuts the panel into two pieces with stitched detailing on both as shown. I adhered the outer frame to a pink card base. Then, I inlaid and taped the "Thank You" die-cut to the inside of the other piece, and adhered it with foam tape to add dimension.
