Welcome to Day 4 of MFT January Release Countdown!
For today, I'm sharing two cards. The first is Valentine's day card featuring From the Heart sentiment stamp set paired with the Full of Heart Die-namics. One of my new crafty love is playing with alcohol inks and I was so happy I got to use them to make this card.
I used Tim Holtz Yupo paper, Alcohol ink , Alcohol Blending solution, and Blending tool to create a pink, red, and purple background. I die-cut the inked Yupo paper with the Full of Heart Die-namic. I laid the negative cut on top of a trimmed white cardstock and mounted the die-cut hearts with foam squares for fun dimension. I adhered the front panel to a red panel and then to a Black and White Stripes Pattern Paper as shown. The sentiment was embossed with white embossing powder on black cardstock. Trimmed the sentiment and adhered it to the card front.
The second card features the In Paris stamp set. What a fun set for making adorable scene cards with iconic images like the Eiffel Towel.
I stamped and colored the images with Copics and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I inked the front panel with Summer Splash and Sno Cone Dye Inks. I die-cut white cardstock with a die from Stitched Cloud Edges Die-namics and a die from Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics to make two grassy hill panels (actually one of them is meant to look like bushes). I blended them with Field Day and Sour Apple dye inks. I spritzed all the panels with water for texture. Once dried, I stamped the sentiment on the grassy hill panel and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. To finish, I adhered all the panels and the images as shown.

ReplyDeleteI would like to see a video of the making of the first card. It's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove these cards Amy (yet again) the heart one's gorgeous but the one for me is the 2nd one. It's our wedding anniversary in 21st Feb (31 years arghhh where does the time go lol) anyway hubbys past time is cycling and he'd love to do a Paris bike ride, also I love looking at hot air balloons. I wanted a card that corporates all that and, you've done one just like one I want to make. Weve also got a dog lol. Looks like i will be copying your card amy LOL. Now OBVIOUSLY it won't look anywhere near as good as yours as I don't have all the dies I need, and I'm useless at fussy cutting but I will try. For homemade cards I think as long as you try that's what matters mostly. Anyway Thankyou so much Amy. Xx AndreaH xx
ReplyDeleteThe heart card is absolutely gorgeous but looks like a lot of work! The Paris card is cute too.
