Today I'm sharing two cards showcasing the super cute Little Monkey Agenda and the Swinging Borders stamp sets from the new April release.
I stamped the images from Little Monkey Agenda with Copic friendly brown ink and colored them with Copic markers. After, I cut them out with the Little Monkey Agenda Creative Cuts.
To make the front panel, I trimmed white cardstock little smaller than A2 size and stamped the leafy vines from the Swinging Borders stamp set using green dye ink. I stamped the sentiment from Scripty Bday with brown ink. I die-cut the upper center of the panel with the Dashed Circle from the Framed Tag Columbus Circle Creative Cuts as shown.
For the background panel, I trimmed white cardstock to the same size as the front panel and inked the upper center with the same ink that I used to stamp the leaves so that the colors will match. Then, I adhered the panel to an A2 sized green cardstock.
I foam mounted the front panel on top of the background panel. Then, I added a die-cut box I made using All Prettied Up Creative Cuts and adhered it to the inside the circle opening.
To finish, I adhered the monkeys with double sided tape or foam tape to the card front as shown.
For my second card, I stamped the images again from Little Monkey Agenda and stamped them with Copic friendly brown ink. I colored it with Copics and fussy cut them out. After, I went over the cut edges with dark brown Copic marker.
To make the front panel, I trimmed Bristol paper to an A2 size and stamped the leafy vines from the Swinging Borders set using black ink. I ink blended the entire panel with Distress Oxides using Cracked Pistachios, Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers. After, I colored in leafy vines with shades of green Prismacolor pencils.
To finish, I foam mounted the white frame that was die-cut using the Frame Tags Madison Avenue Creative Cuts onto the front panel and foam mounted the monkeys as shown.

ReplyDeleteI really like what you've done with the monkeys and the borders. The second jungle one is a lot of fun and showcases the actions of the monkeys well, but my favorite is the first one—that combination of white and light green is fantastic, and the play on "a barrel of monkeys" makes me smile.
