Hello and welcome to the My Favorite Things 5 Days to an Organized Crafty Stash. For day two we're sharing how we organize our stamps.

Like so many of us cardmakers, the way I organize my stamps was inspired by Jennifer Mcguire. I use Clear Storage Pockets that are available from MFT Boutique to store my stamps.

In my Clear Storage Pocket you will find in the front a trimmed white card stock with a stamp set. In the back I include the separated coordinating dies that are inside a small plastic bags as well as any extra stamped images.

I used to keep my stamps organized by size but I recently updated it to organize them by theme and illustrator to make finding stamp sets easier.

To make the dividers I cut the Periwrinkle Prestige Card Stock in half measuring 8" x 5 1/2".  Then trimmed the corners and laminated them (trimmed corners here too). After, I added the clear labels on top that I made using the Brother P-Touch.

Then, I organized them by theme and illustrator inside the InterDesign Refrigerator and Freezer Divided Storage Container.

That'a it for today. I hope you'll join me tomorrow as I share how I orgainze my Die-namics.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!!

  1. Amy, I just love your cards! I can’t believe you haven’t been doing this forever, your coloring is gorgeous. What did you use to laminate the cardstock and does it make it really firm like the cut up folders that Jennifer McGuire uses. I’m going to assume you know who Jennifer is, since it looks like you use some of her organization ideas just like everyone else, myself included. :) Thanks, Carolyn

    1. Thank You Carolyn! My organization is heavily inspired by Jennifer, so many of her ideas are simply brilliant! I used the Scotch Thermal Laminating machine to laminate the card stocks and yes, it makes them firm enough to use as a divider. I don't know what folder Jennifer uses so I can't compare. :) Hope that helps!!

  2. Oh my giddy aunt. Storage idea for stamps is Brillllllianttt. Who knew fridge/freezer boxes would be so useful. Tfs Amy. Xxx
