Hello and welcome to the MFT October Release Countdown Day 2! All of the amazing new products will be available Tuesday, October 9th at 10AM EDT. Make sure to stop by the MFT Blog to see today's full reveal.
My project features the new adorable Happy Llamadays stamp set along with the new Fa la la Die-namics. I made this fun holiday card to fit in a 4 1/8" x 9 1/2" envelope.
To begin, I stamped the llamas from the Happy Llamadays stamp set with Cement Gray Hybrid Ink for no-line coloring with Copics. Please, note, I changed their eyes to give them a slightly different look. For finer details on the images, I used Prismacolor pencils and used a white gel pen to add the fur texture. After they were colored, I cut them out with the coordinating dies.
To create my front panel, I ink blended the sky with Distress Oxides. The three hill panels were die-cut with the Snow Drift Die-namics. I ink blended the top of the panels with the Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. Then, I added splatters of water to add texture.
The "Fa la la la la la" part of the sentiment was die-cut with the Fa la la Die-namics. I ink blended them with Distress Oxides as well. I used the Well- Connected Alphabet stamp set for the "LLAMA" part of the sentiment and it was heat embossed in white.
To assemble the card, I adhered the sentiment and the hill panels to the card front. Then, I added the colored llamas. To finish, I added splatters of Copic Opaque White everywhere to the card front to make it look like it's snowing.
Thank you so much for visiting me today! I hope I'll see you again tomorrow for Countdown Day 1!
