MFT - APRIL HITS AND HIGHLIGHTS

Hello and welcome to the MFT April Hits and Highlights challenge for the design team. This month we were challenged to create interactive cards that spin, slide, and leap.

Today only, you can enjoy 25% off the featured products:
Leaping Slider Channels, Interactive Pull Tabs, Spin & Slide Channels, Spin & Slide Discs, Slider Elements at the MFT Shop.
No code necessary.

I created a double leaping slider card featuring the Leaping Slider Channel along with the adorable BB Best in the Show set.

To begin, I Copic colored the two stamped dogs from the BB Best in the Show stamp set and the butterflies from the BB Adorable Elephants stamp set and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I ink blended the front panel and the panel behind it, using the Grassy Edges and the Cloud Stencils with Distress Oxides. I made the two panels identical. I used a white gel pen to add little white dots on the panel for interest. Then I stamped the sentiment from the BB Best in the Show.

I die-cut the front panel using one of the dies from the Leaping Slider Channel as shown. I built my sliding mechanism and foam mounted the front panel to the back panel. Lastly, I attached the two dogs to the slider mechanism.

MFT COLOR CHALLENGE 116

Hi! I'm back again with the latest MFT Color Challenge 116:

My card inspired by the fun color combination:

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped images from the SY Tweet Friends stamp set using the Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

Then, I stamped the front panel with the images from the SY Scene Builder stamp set. I also stamped them on masking sheets and used the cuts outs to ink blend the sky with Blu Raspberry and the ground with Limelight Premium Dye Inks. I Copic colored the rest of the images. The sentiment from the SY Tweet Friends stamp set " You Make My Good Times Great" was also stamped on this panel.

To finish I foam mounted the colored images to the front panel as shown to complete my scene.

For my card today, I created a watercolored background with a bouquet of flowers.

To begin, I stamped the flowers using the Flower Silhouettes stamp set using various Premium Dye Inks (colors under supplies) and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I adhered the flowers together with glue and foam tapes to make a bouquet and tied it all together with twine.

For the front panel, I used watercolor to paint it. For added interest, I added splatters of ink and white dots too. After, I die-cut the panel with the largest die from A2 Rectangle STAX Set 2.

For the sentiment, I die-cut the word "Thanks" using Simply Thanks Die-namics (free with $60 released with the kit) six times. I ink blended the top one with Premium Dye Inks and adhered them together to create dimension.

To finish, I glued on the flower bouquet to the watercolored front panel along with the sentiment "Thanks". I added a few sparkling white jewels for shine.

ME STAMP HIGHLIGHT - MARINE FRIENDS

Hello and welcome to the Mama Elephant April Release Stamp Highlight. Today the design team is highlighting the Marine Friends set illustrated by Aida Zamora. The set features the cutest dolphins and their adorable friends.

For today, I created an underwater scene card using the Marine Friends set along with the new Making Waves Cover creative cuts.

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped images from the Marine Friends stamp set and used a white gel pen to add details and highlights to the images. After I die-cut them with the coordinating Marine Friends creative cuts

The front panel was die-cut with the Making Waves Cover creative cuts. I ink blended the panel with Distress Oxides using different colors for each wave section. I created the rays located on top of the panel using a sunray stencil and by wiping off some of the colors with a damp paper towel. After, I added splatters of water. Once dried, I heat embossed the sentiment "You're a Wonderful Friend" from the Marine Friends stamp set. I used the white gel pen again to add white dots throughout the panel.

To finish, I adhered the colored images to the front panel using double-sided tape and foam tape to create dimension.
