MFT - NOVEMBER BIRTHDAY PROJECT

Hello! I'm back again with the latest The Birthday Project challenge for MFT. The theme for this month is Shake, Move, and Groove.

There’s no better occasion than a birthday to get as festive as possible by including shaker elements packed with glitter, sequins, or confetti. If shakers aren’t your style, including a cute critter careening across your card with a slider element is another exciting option. Shaker and interactive elements are a joy both to create AND receive so do yourself a favor and join us this month in crafting cards that move you.

My card inspired by the challenge:

To begin making the card, I Copic colored the stamped images from the SY Sending Sweet Celebration Wishes and cut them out with the coordinating dies. For added fun and texture, I glued on the mini pom-poms to the party hats.

For the front panel, I die-cut white cardstock with Stitched Collage Frame Die-namics eight times and adhered them together. To create the window for the shaker I adhered a trimmed acetate behind the top frame.

With a set of negative cuts, I ink blended it using Distress Oxides.

The sentiment from the SY Sending Sweet Celebration Wishes stamp set with Distress Oxide and trimmed as shown.

To assemble the card, I adhered the ink blended panels to a top folding card base. After, I added the shaker element and adhered the frame on top. To finish, I foam mounted the colored images with the sentiment as shown.

As always it's a fun challenge! I hope you'll play along with us. Visit the MFT Blog for information on The Birthday Project challenge and for more inspiration from the participating design team members.

Happy stamping!!
